When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected vibrant reefs. And I found them. But I discovered something on the Amadive dive list: **Wreck Diving**. My heart jumped. This wasn't just a typical reef dive; this was adventure into history.
I'll admit, I felt nervous. Diving a wreck requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive** were fantastic. The PADI instructors provided a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed safety protocols, the story of the sunken ship, and what to expect below. The fact we were in such a small group instantly put me at ease confident.
Descending was unforgettable. First, it's a shadow in the blue, and then it came into view. It is enormous. The ship is now a thriving new home, draped in website soft corals and teeming with marine life. I spotted giant groupers hiding from inside the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers patrolling the superstructure. That feeling of swimming alongside this giant, silent structure was hard to describe—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It truly is a piece of history on the seabed.
If you're an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for an adventure beyond the standard reef, I cannot urge you this **Con Dao wreck dive** highly enough. It was the unforgettable highlight of my Vietnam trip. A huge shout-out to the **Amadive Con Dao** crew for their expertise and for making this incredible experience so memorable.
